EFT Training ..... with a difference

Gary Craig, the developer of EFT, acknowledges the benefits of applying NLP skills to the practice of EFT:
" I am a certified Master Practitioner of NLP myself and hold a deep appreciation for its teachings. It has substantially enhanced my abikity to deliver EFT."

The following is the transcript of an email from Tam Llewellyn, head of AAMET which may be of interest:
'I have some very good news for the AAMET and Energy Therapist
The UK Government has recommended that the various professional bodies in Complementary & Alternative Therapy work together to agree standards and requirements for the various types of complementary therapy. The AAMET have made great strides in this direction in recent years.
The next step in the Government recommendations was that an overarching independent regulator be put in place, and this is the role of the 'General Regulatory Council for Complementary Therapies (GRCCT)
I have been in negotiation for some time with the GRCCT pressing the case for the acceptance of the existing AAMET Standards for Energy Therapy.
I am pleased to be able to announce that the GRCCT has appointed the AAMET as the National Regulator for Energy Therapies and the Knowledge Base for these therapies.
The therapies we are responsible for to date are :-
1) Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT)
a) Level 2
b) Level 3
c) Master
2) Be Set Free Fast (EFT)
a) Practitioner
3) Tapas Acupressure Technique
b) Practitioner
The situation now is that practitioners who hold the above certificates can be placed on the National Register (at a cost of £30 / year) Those who do not hold our certification and want to be placed on the register have to submit their qualifications and experience to us for assessment before they will be accepted. Registration is voluntary
Qualified therapists can now register to be placed on the National Register. To do this go to www.grcct.org and click on the link in the third line (if your qualifications are supported by the AAMET). You will be taken to a 'Registration Page'. Fill in your details to be placed on the General Register. You will be asked for a 'Registration Number'. For this enter the first three letters of your second name followed by the first three letters of your first name separated by a slash (/) The name used should be the one used on your AAMET Listing
The AAMET also has one seat on the Federal Regulatory Council which meets four times each year to further the cause and regulation of Complementary Therapy and to regulate qualifications
Dr Tam Llewellyn (TLLewellyn@aol. com) will be the AAMET's contact point with the Register and Karl Dawson (karl28dawson@ yahoo.com) has agreed my reserve contact. The Council seat belongs to the AAMET as a whole and we can nominate anyone we like to attend in our name depending on the pre-published agenda
The GRCCT has a web site at www.grcct.org. which gives full details of its set up and list the other Lead Bodies. It is a non-profit organisation and any surplus funds are used to further research into Complimentary Therapy
This Register deserves to be given your full support as it is therapist's link to the (UK) Government and gives us a say in the development of qualification to satisfy the Government's requirement that we regulate ourselves. Please join the register. £30 / year is little to pay to keep control of Complementary Therapy out of the hands of Government and EC Regulations.'
